at wearetreed we know, how to be sustainable
What's behind it?
Like the creator of this charger, your parents and teachers probably encouraged you to respect nature. Czechs and Slovaks simply have mountains and forests in their blood. That's why the original impetus for the Kicktarter project was a bit of a coincidence. The idea for a wooden charger evolved into a debate about an entire brand that would offer an eco-friendly alternative to mobile and computer accessories. After all, the current offering is all about plastic, which is a non-renewable dead end. Therefore wearetreed offers natural materials from local sources and uses compostable material from wheat waste for the cables.
The idea goes further
To make sure that it doesn't just stop at materials and production, the manufacturers have gone even further. For every one of their products sold, they plant a tree in areas affected by deforestation. But that's not enough. They want to inspire you to think differently in a non-violent way. In each packet you will find a coconut planting tablet and Japanese maple seeds. So you can grow your own bonsai at home to remind you of your greener choices. And because growing is quite a chore, it might even get you to slow down in a consumerist world and take more eco-friendly steps.
